April 1
The Treorchy Male Choir Appreciation Society was officially launched and now enjoys membership from admirers around the world.

September 23-October 6
The Choir’s tour of the West Coast of Canada and the USA included performances in Vancouver, Victoria, Seattle, Mount Saint Helens, Portland, Salinas, and San Francisco.

April 8
For the first time the Choir appeared in the Pop Factory recording studio to make a new CD with Kenny Ball and the Jazzmen called "A Tribute To Wembley".

December 17
The Choir appeared on Cilla Black’s "Christmas Surprise Surprise" with Russell Watson and S Club 7 at the LWT Studio in London.

2002

July 14
The Choir filmed a new commercial for the communication giants, Orange. The song “Three Little Birds” by Bob Marley was recorded in the rehearsal room and filmed on the Brecon Beacons. Later that month Janice Ball was appointed the new Accompanist of the Choir.

October 19-26
The Choir’s first tour of Scotland which featured performances in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Glenrothes, St Andrews and Dundee. During their performance in Hawick they were joined on stage by the famous rugby commentator Bill McLaren.

2003

January 8
The Choir appeared on Michael Aspel’s last episode of This is Your Life. The surprise guest was Jonathan Davies and the Choir performed the Welsh National Anthem with Aled Jones before an audience of rugby players and celebrities including Ieuan Evans, Max Boyce and Stuart Cable.

February 11
A celebrity concert in the grounds of Warwick Castle was provided by the Choir and comedian Freddie Starr.

September
Helen Roberts was appointed Deputy Accompanist of the Treorchy Male Choir.

December 20
The Choir appeared in the first of the "Stars at Christmas Concert" in the Queen Elizabeth Hall, London, with Elaine Paige, Nicholas Parsons, John Bardon, Dame Vera Lynn, Ian Lavendar, Susan Hampshire, Brian Murphy and Julia McKenzie.

2004

March 15-April 4
The Choir’s Third tour of Australia with visits to Perth, Frankston, Mandurah, Geelong, Clayton, Melbourne, Caloundra, Brisbane, Coffs Harbour, Newcastle, Castle Hills, Wollongong and a return visit to the magnificent Sydney Opera House. During the tour they also entertained Lisa Marie and Priscilla Presley.

December 18
A return to the Queen Elizabeth Hall for another "Stars at Christmas Concert" with Sylvia Syms, Liz Smith, The Bachelors and Vince Hill.

2005

The Choir made it first DVD entitled “Singing From The Heart” which tells the entire story of the world-famous organisation. The narrator was Welsh actor Glyn Houston.

November 11
The Choir performed on the hallowed turf of the Millennium Stadium prior to the kick-off of the Wales vs New Zealand rugby game. Joining the Choir on the pitch were Katherine Jenkins and Hayley Westenrah

November 19
For the Choir’s concert in the Pavilion, Rhyl, they were joined on stage by Welsh star Katherine Jenkins.

November 21
The Choir appeared on their first Royal Command Performance before Her Majesty The Queen and HRH The Duke of Edinburgh. For the first time the event was held in Wales, at the Wales Millennium Centre and fellow performers included Katherine Jenkins, Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne, Dame Shirley Bassey, Sir Cliff Richard, Bryn Terfel, Andrea Bocelli, Charlotte Church, Catherine Tate, Will Young, Il Divo, The Blue Man Group, McFly, Joe Pasquale, Bradley Walsh and Michael Parkinson.

2006

The Choir returned to the Millennium Stadium to perform prior to the Powergen Semi-Final with Bedwas, Trethomas and Machen Band.

March 14
Meuryn Hughes was appointed the fifth Conductor of the reformed Treorchy Male Choir. He was the grandson of the composer and conductor Arwel Hughes, cementing a sixty year relationship with the Hughes family.

March 25
The first Treorchy Male Choir & Coca Cola Junior Musician of the Year Competition was held to celebrate the young talent of the Rhondda.

May 20
For the second time this year the Choir performed on the pitch at the Millennium Stadium for the Heineken Cup Final.

June 16
The Choir joined forces with West End star Michael Ball for a performance in aid of the British Red Cross at the Mansion House, London. The compere for the evening was television news broadcaster Carol Barnes

June 18
The Choir’s Diamond Jubilee Concert was held at the Wales Millennium Centre with guest star Max Boyce. The concert, named "Max Live With Treorchy" was a sell-out event and provided the Choir with one of their most memorable concerts.

The Choir recorded “Green Green Grass of Home” at the BBC Wales Studios, Cardiff, for Katherine Jenkins’s new album, “Serenade”. Other artists performing on the album were Bryan Adams and Dame Kiri Te Kanawa.

October 12
The Choir’s second Diamond Jubilee Concert was held in the Park and Dare Theatre, Treorchy, with international Welsh singer Iris Williams.

November 15
The Choir appeared at the Savoy Hotel, London, to celebrate some of the world’s greatest rugby players. Those on stage were Gareth Edwards, Gavin Hastings, Willy John McBride and Lawrence Delallio. The presentations were made by HRH The Duke of Edinburgh.

January 31
The Choir officially launched the Woodenspoon Charity’s new fundraising DVD at the Millennium Stadium.

April 15
The Choir performed on the rugby ground at Twickenham prior to the EDF Energy Cup Trophy Final under the baton of Dr Haydn James.

July 29
Adrian Munsey and Paul Bateman attended the rehearsal room to record the new Choir single “Faraway Place” which was later tipped for a Christmas No.1 with odds by Ladbrokes Bookmakers put at 33-1.

September 4
Janice Ball was appointed the first female Conductor of the Treorchy Male Choir. Helen Roberts was officially appointed her replacement as Accompanist.

September 11
The Choir performed at the BGC Charity Day in Canary Wharf, London, in support of the Woodenspoon Charity. Also present at the event were Cherie Blair, Duncan Goodhew, Steve Redgrave, Daley Thompson, Martin Johnson and Douglas Hurd.

December 18
The first Honorary Lady Membership title were bestowed on Janice Ball and Helen Roberts.

In celebration of the success of “Faraway Place”, the Choir appeared on the Alan Titchmarsh Show from BBC Television Centre, London, with Charlie Dimmock and Trisha Penrose.

January 19
The star-studded concert in Chichester Cathedral reunited the Choir with Dame Vera Lynn. Also present were actor Christopher Timothy, broadcaster David Jacobs and BBC Royal Correspondent Nicholas Witchell.

March 1
To celebrate St David’s Day, the Choir was reunited with Max Boyce for a festive concert at Colston Hall, Bristol.

October 9
Welsh star Iris Williams OBE returned to Treorchy to perform with the Choir at the Park & Dare Theatre for their Annual Concert. Honorary Lady Membership was bestowed upon her.

October 18
For the first time the Choir appeared in the London Welsh Festival of Male Choirs at the Royal Albert Hall, London, with the Cory Band.

2009

The Treorchy Male Choir's fourth tour of Australia and first tour of New Zealand. The 20-concert tour, organised by HVK Productions, saw them perform in Perth, Adelaide, Canberra, Melbourne, Brisbane and at the Sydney Opera House. During the week spent in New Zealand, they took Christchurch, Auckland and Wellington by storm.

June 24
The Choir appeared in the 100th International Rotarian Conference in Birmingham Town Hall and the National Exhibition Centre where they were rewarded by a standing ovation from a crowd of 6,000 delegates.

July 22nd
To celebrate the opening of the new Cardiff City Stadium, Treorchy became the first Choir to perform on the pitch prior to its opening game against Celtic.

September 25th
Two Blue Plaques were unveiled at Treorchy Primary School to commemorate the massive contribution the Choir has made to the rich cultural heritage of Wales. One of the Plaques was unveiled on the school while the second was placed on the Red Cow public house to celebrate the two distinct periods in the history of the Choir.

The Choir's television recording of "Send in the Clowns" appeared on New York's Broadway for a season to celebrate the 80th birthday celebrations of Stephen Sondheim.

The Choir filmed its version of "Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau" on the Brecon Beacons for Sky Sports TV's coverage of the Ryder Cup Golf Tournament

The Choir joined forces with the Band of the Welsh Guards, Wynne Evans and Martin Sheen to record “A Royal Tribute” in celebration of the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton

The Choir performed before HRH Princess Anne and the Archbishop of Wales at the Tenovus Concert in Llandaff Cathedral

Thirty choristers undertook a weekend tour of Berlin at the invitation of the Royal Mint in celebration of the World Money Fair.

March 1
The Choir visited Monte Carlo at the request of the Monaco Welsh Association. They performed at the Hotel de Paris for Their Serene Highnesses Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco. Also in attendance were Dame Shirley Bassey, Rhys Ifans and host of legendary British Lions.

August 8-11
The Third Tour of Scotland, organised by the Wooden Spoon rugby charity.

The Choir made its second consecutive visit to Monaco for performances at the Prince's Palais and the Hotel de Paris in Monte Carlo as the Royal Guests of Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene.

April 11
The Choir appeared with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra at Birmingham Symphony Hall.

The Centenary Commemoration Services at Mametz Wood to remember those who lost their lives at the First Battle of the Somme in July 1916.

November 3
70th Anniversary Concert with Jason Howard at the Park & Dare Theatre, Treorchy.

The Choir held its "70 Glorious Years" concert at St David's Hall, Cardiff with Morriston Orpheus Male Choir, Pendyrus Male Choir, Cor Meibion Pontarddulais, Chamber Orchestra of Wales and Shan Cothi.

Choristers commemorated the 60th anniversary since the transatlantic link with Paul Robeson by appearing on BBC TV's The One Show with Cerys Matthews from the Pavilion, Porthcawl.

The Choir made a return visit to Cornwall with performances in Truro and Penzance.
